Destin Florida "The Worlds Luckiest Fishing Village"

March: Is the beginning of our season. We catch mostly Snappers and Groupers, it is not peak, but the longer trips are good.

April: Is the month that all of our good return customers come and go Grouper fishing for big fish.  It is a great month for bottom fishing. Trolling surface fish are not in yet, but the Cobia's start their run. Huge fish on light tackle!!!!! A sportsmen dream.

May: Things are starting to warm up. Kings start showing up and the Bottom Fishing is awesome. Very busy month.  Lots of return customers.

June: Schools Out!  Stand bye for incoming!!!! Lots of people.  Lots of families.  Lots of tourist. Great Weather.  Great Fishing.  Bottom Fishing and lots of trolling. High Season. We are running 7 days a week. Wide Open.

July: Just Like June. The busiest month of the year. Lots and lots of people.  Lots of tourist. (We Love Them). Good all around fishing for just about everything. Offshore Trolling Fish are starting to show up. I.E. Blue-White Marlins/Sailfish/Dolphin/Wahoo. Oh Yeah, Its Also Hot!

August: Still wide open for the 1st 15 days. Great trolling, inshore and offshore. Good bottom fishing. After the 15th, crowds are gone, Sigh Of Relief. Off season rates kick in for many condo's and hotels. Great Fishing, but Hot.

September: A Great Month! Great fishing in general and you do not have to wait to get into the good Restaurants. Marlin Fishing getting Hot. Peak month for Blues and Whites.

October: The Big Cool Down. We see our 1st cold fronts. A perfect month for fishing. Big Bottom Fish/ Big Trolling Fish. The cool weather makes'em Frisky and Hungry. Cool and non crowded. The Oct. Fishing Rodeo the whole month.

November: The Secret Month! Ssshhhhhhh!!!!! Don't Tell Everyone. This is my favorite. The best fall weather. No fishing pressure from other boats. No crowds. Incredible fishing. Bottom Fishing going strong. Trolling going strong. Offshore Blues and Whites dwindling. Off season rates on great beach front places. Truly a pleasure to experience. Big prizes. Lots of fun and no crowds. My 2nd favorite month.

December: Weather still holding. Snappers and Groupers biting. Gets busy as heck around the holidays. Lots of folks fishing. Mostly on the bottom. January: Getting Cold. Lots of snow birds. Bottom Fishing, But you have to work around the weather. February: Warm in between the cold fronts. No fishing pressure. Great Bottom Fishing on longer trips. Lots of folks from Canada, know what I mean,  Ayyy!

Located on Florida's Emerald Coast, Destin is known for its white beaches and emerald green waters. Originating as a small fishing village, it is now a popular tourist destination, over 80 percent of the Emerald Coast's 4.5 million visitors each year visit Destin. It is known as "The World's Luckiest Fishing Village", and claims to have the largest fishing vessel fleet in the state of Florida.

Destin is named after Captain Leonard Destin, a New London, Connecticut fishing master who settled in the area around 1845. The first condominiums were built in the 1970s, although Destin was not incorporated as a municipality until 1984. The city has experienced rapid growth since the 1980s.
